Each time you level up, you unlock a new power-up!

Lead your team to victory each mission as you master each power-up and dominate the arena. From Rapid Fire to decimating Nukes, playing with a Laserforce membership card has never been so addicting!

LEVEL 1: RECRUIT

RAPID FIRE:
Send a burst of lasers flying at your opponents. When in rapid fire mode, hold down the trigger to fire rapidly for a variable duration.

Activates automatically when you deactivate 2 opponents without being deactivated yourself. [Costs 0 sp]
(Note: Once activated, rapid fire lasts for 100 shots or until your vest is deactivated.)

LEVEL 2: Gunner

Complete 2 missions with an average score of 1500 – 3000

INVULNERABILITY:
Armor up and wreak havoc! When invulnerable, your vest can’t get deactivated for 10 seconds.

Activates automatically when you deactivate a certain number of opponents without getting deactivated yourself. The number of opponents required increases by one after each time it is activated, starting with 3. [Costs 0 sp]

LEVEL 3: Trooper

Complete 4 missions with an average score of 3001 – 4500

PAYBACK:
Jump back into the fight immediately. When you’ve been deactivated, use “Payback” to reactivate instantly.

To activate, press in the feature button while deactivated. [costs 3 sp]

LEVEL 4: Captain


MISSILES:

Aim. Lock-on. Fire. Missiles can by fired at any player level 4 or higher. Aim, wait for the final lock-on tone to signal, then squeeze the trigger. Missiles score more points than a regular laser zap.

Complete 6 missions with an average score of 4501 – 6500

To fire, simply aim at an opponent. You’ll hear three distinct lock-on tones rising in pitch. On the third and final lock-on tone, pull the trigger. [costs 2 sp]
(Note: these lock-on tones are separate from the “target detected” beeps. There are usually two of those before the lock-on sequence begins. If you pull the trigger after the lock-on sequence begins, but before the third tone, your missile will miss and you will have still spent the special points to fire it. If you wait longer, the third lock-on tone will continue to repeat until the lock gets broken or you fire the missile. It is heat seeking, so firing on the third lock-on tone will hit its target. The targeted opponent's vest will sound an alarm the second the lock-on sequence starts. If they break the lock before you fire the missile, the lock-on sequence will need to be restarted.)

LEVEL 5: Starlord

Complete 8 missions with an average score of 6501 – 8000


RESET:

“And stay down!” Use this ability to send a second deactivation the last player you zapped.

To activate, press in the feature button while active and have under 20 sp. [costs 5 sp]
(Note: if you have over 20 sp available, the nuke ability will take priority.)

LEVEL 6: Laser Master

Complete 10 missions with an average score of 8001 – 9600

NUKE:
Take down the entire arena! Use this ability to deactivate every level 6 and above in the game, no matter where they are. Also, successfully launched nukes score a major amount of points for you and your team.

To launch, press in the feature button while vest is active and have over 20 sp. [costs 20 sp]
(Note: There is a 5-7 second delay between launching a nuke and detonating a nuke. If your vest gets deactivated during that delay, the nuke will be aborted and your special points will still have been spent.

Bonus levels for extreme bragging rights

Complete 15 missions (including 5 as a ‘Laser Master’) with an average score of 9601 – 11200

LEVEL 7: Conquerer

Complete 20 missions (including 5 as a ‘Conqueror’) with an average score of 11201 – 12800

LEVEL 8: Titan

Complete 25 missions (including 5 as a ‘Titan’) with an average score above 12801
